4th Annual Cuttin Loose with Deuce
April 12, 2007 - Recap Story!

On Saturday evening, March 31st, Jackson area native and New Orleans Saints Running Back Deuce McAllister hosted the 4th Annual "Cuttin' Loose with Deuce" charity event at the Mississippi TelCom Center (105 Pascagoula Street, Downtown Jackson). Deuce and Charles Grant, New Orleans Saints DE, were on hand to sign autographs, take photos, and talk to fans.

This evening of fundraising to benefit Deuce's Catch 22 Foundation allowed guests to enjoy an evening with their favorite Saints' players. The evening featured twelve of Jackson's finest restaurants, including Steam Room Grille, Scrooge's, Alumni House, and Julep serving up their wonderful cuisine. The night also highlighted the Bill Kehoe Jazz Quartet, and from 7:00 until 10:00 p.m. patrons boogied to the music of cool jazz and 'Cut Loose!' Along with food and drink, the evening boasted a silent auction filled with autographed sports memorabilia from the NFL and NBA as well as one of a kind art pieces.

Local auctioneer, Cynthia McCool, along with Deuce and Charles, hosted the live auction which included a unique 'Catch 22' art piece by artist Katrina Wise, New Orleans Saints Training Camp Experience at Millsaps College, a gorgeous pearl necklace donated by Carter Jewelers, and an Ole Miss Football 2007 Season Ticket Package.

Along with Saints fans and guests from Jackson, patrons traveled from New Orleans, Texas, and Atlanta to enjoy the 4th Annual Cuttin Loose with Deuce event. A special thank you goes to everyone in attendance, participating restaurants, and especially the volunteers who helped make the evening possible!
