Deuce McAllister Hosts Tailgate Party at Schimmel's Restaurant

(JACKSON, MS) - Food, Fun, and Football are three great reasons to be a part of the Tailgate Party at Schimmels Restaurant (2615 North State Street) on Saturday, August 26th. Deuce McAllister, former Ole Miss running back and two-time all pro with the New Orleans Saints, and Jay Schimmel, former All-American football player at Ole Miss, will host a pre-game tailgate party within walking distance from Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Deuce and Jay are partnering together on this unique event at Schimmels to allow Jacksonians and visitors to experience a tailgate party like never before! Proceeds will benefit Deuce McAllister's Catch 22 Foundation. The Catch 22 Foundation is a non-profit charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of children in the Gulf South Region.

This lively event will be held indoors at Schimmels Restaurant prior to the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts preseason game at Veterans Memorial Stadium with kickoff slated for 6:00 p.m. The day's events will begin with a New Orleans Style Jazz Brunch from 10:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and will include live music during that time. The tailgate party will officially kick off at 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. where patrons can find a great place to eat delicious smoked ribs and oysters, enjoy Schimmels signature cocktails and drinks, and celebrate with friends!

There will be drink specials all day long and a raffle for New Orleans Saints memorabilia. A festive Mardi Gras atmosphere awaits at Deuce's Tailgate Party at Schimmels Restaurant on Saturday, August 26th from 10:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. After the game there will be a 5th Quarter Players Party at Schimmels featuring great food and drinks, jazz musician Dave Badie, and a time to celebrate with players and friends.
